Geraint Williams is a consultant ophthalmologist and specialises in cataract surgery, corneal surgery & external eye disease, practising in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
He holds a postgraduate diploma in cataract and refractive surgery and his expertise includes patients with previous laser refractive surgery, astigmatism and the use of premium lenses to restore sight.
His corneal interests include ocular surface inflammation, infection and scarring, corneal dystrophies such as Fuchs’ endothelial corneal dystrophy, keratoconus and dry eye disorders. He also undertakes lamellar corneal transplantation and corneal collagen cross-linking.
Geraint is a senior consultant working at Wye Valley NHS Trust. He also works with Hereford Vision Surgical Group at The Wye Clinic and the Spire Eye Centre, Spire South Bank Hospital, Worcester.
Geraint is a visiting professor at Ulster University where he teaches on the postgraduate diploma in cataract and refractive course.
